|A typical application for the usage of SpecsLab Prodigy software is angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). Hemispherical electron energy analyzers equipped with 2-dimensional detectors generate data for which the intensity is plotted as a function of energy and a second dimension. Depending on the lens mode of the analyzer the latter may be angle or position on the specimen. |
In combination with a remote controlled manipulator for changing the sample position and orientation multidimensional data sets are created. SpecsLab Prodigy allows straightforward acquisition and display of such multidimensional data. Bandstructures, Fermi surfaces and compositional images can be easily recorded and displayed.

With SpecsLab Prodigy is it also easy to perform Near Ambient Pressure (NAP) photoemission spectroscopy experiments, which is an even more complex in-situ technique, because the pressure of the reaction gas has to be controlled together with other parameters. The analysis of the environment at the specimen by mass spectroscopy and the simultaneous data acquisition allow studying surface reactions in real time.
Aside from the standard devices for spectrum acquisition SpecsLab Prodigy can control more than 50 external devices out-of-the-box. Additionally it offers configurable and programmable generic interfaces to support even more devices for a seemless integration into the customer's environment.
Consequently, the SpecsLab Prodigy software is an indispensable tool for multi-parameter data acquisition and automated experiment control. The results can be achieved rapidly and postprocessing routines help to customize studies while guaranteeing comparable results through standard workflows and batch processing.
