Sample of the Week Italian Hard Cheese

We present the near ambient pressure surface analysis of the surface of an italian hard cheese as an example for specimens that can not be analyzed in classical ultra high vacuum XPS systems. EnviroESCA is able to work in such high pressures that XPS surface analysis is even possible on wet or fatty samples.

The surface analysis of food samples in real world sample environments help to tune and  optimize industrial processes like stabilizing and packaging.
