Key Applications of Surface Analytical Methods

Contributions to cutting-edge science

Surface analytical techniques are established as a powerful and wide-ranging, mostly non-destructive analytical methods. In
particular, the precise and reproducible quantification in XPS, characterization of electronic properties by band mapping in ARPES or structural studies of novel 2D materials on an atomistic level by SPM are common examples. This section gives a short survey of typical key applications.
