2006-05-04 - SPECS takes over product line of Oxford Scientific Ltd.
From 1 January 2006 SPECS has taken over the product line of the British manufacturer of instruments for deposition in high and ultra high vacuum, Oxford Scientific Ltd. Oxford Scientific's entire product range is now available directly from SPECS including tools for sample preparation such as RF and microwave, atom, ion and hybrid sources as well as mini e-beam evaporators, hydrogen cracker-cells, e-beam heated effusion cells and RHEED-systems.

2006-11-20 - Launch of the PHOIBOS 225 (HV) Analyzer
With the launch of the PHOIBOS 225 SPECS enters the market of Hard X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES). This ultra high resolution, high energy hemispherical analyzer is specially designed to study the bulk properties of solids with HAXPES in an energy range of up to 15 keV.
