STM 150 Aarhus LIVE at the ICN&T in Basel, 2006

Throughout the whole exhibition, unique stability of the STM was achieved and demonstrated by images of Si(111)-7x7. For hours the STM 150 Aarhus images were taken without any disturbance by user interaction. Due to minimal drift the surface position remained constant during these recordings.

Ultimate performance could also be shown by recording images of the low corrugated Au(111) surface with herringbone reconstruction, atomically resolved. As a highlight we imaged Cu(110) as well by introducing Oxygen during imaging showing the formation of the Oxygen induced (2x1) reconstruction.
